Founded by a visionary who challenged the status quo, we originated from a simple yet powerful idea: to create innovative insurance solutions that agents could confidently offer their clients—products that had never been thought of in the industry before. Our founder convinced insurance companies that the traditional approach to pre-paying for funerals was outdated and that there was a better way to protect families from unforeseen financial burdens.

For over 20 years, Delco Estate Planning (now ELG) has recognized a persistent problem: the escalating costs of assisted living, nursing homes, and home healthcare often deplete funds allocated for final expenses, pushing seniors and their families into financial hardship. This challenge remains as relevant today as it was when we started.

We believe that independent agents and financial advisors—who are not tied to specific funeral homes or local businesses—are uniquely positioned to help their clients navigate these complex issues. Our mission is to empower these professionals with innovative products, enabling them to provide comprehensive solutions and help clients plan for the uncertainties of aging.

Since our inception, Elder Life Group has played an instrumental role in developing and distributing the Funeral Expense and Estate Planning Trusts, vital tools that address these concerns. Rebranded in 2016 under new ownership, we have expanded our offerings beyond funeral expense planning, always keeping sight of our roots: supporting agents with the tools they need to serve their clients effectively.

We are dedicated to redefining the way final expenses and aging-related costs are managed, ensuring our clients and their families are protected against the unexpected.

Our acquisition of Delco Estate Planning in 2019 strengthened this line of products even further. Delco was instrumental in the evolution of what is now widely known as the Medicaid Exempt Funeral Trust. The trust protected hundreds of millions of dollars from creditors and predators in its first 10 years alone. Just as importantly, it ensured that thousands of families had funeral arrangements already in place during a difficult time.
